Description: Human CD11a (LFA-1) CD11a, also known as leukocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1), represents the 180 kDa integrin L subunit which combines with the CD18 2 integrin subunit to form the L2 integrin heterodimer. It is expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages and is upregulated on activated T cells. CD11a/LFA-1 mediates adhesion of lymphocytes to vascular endothelium and is involved in costimulation.

Since applications vary, you should determine the optimum working dilution of the product that is appropriate for your specific need.

Storage: The purified antibody (UNLB) is supplied as 0.1 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2-8C. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8C. The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8C. The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) and allophycocyanin (APC) conjugates are supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8C. Do not freeze! The low endotoxin/azide-free antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 0.2 mL of PBS, aliquot and freeze upon receipt. Protect conjugated forms from light. Reagents are stable for the period shown on the label if stored as directed. WARNING Reagents contain sodium azide which is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions.
