Clone RVS10
Isotype IgG1
Characteristics The antibody detects: Human CD71
Purification Protein A
Alternative Name CD71 (TFRC Antibody Abstract)
Background CD71 is a 95 kDa type II heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein that is the receptor for transferrin. CD71 expression is very low on resting leukocytes but is upregulated upon activation. CD71 plays a critical role in cell proliferation by controlling the supply of iron, which is essential for many metabolic pathways, through the binding and endocytosis of transferrin.
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Working Dilution:
FACS: 10 µL/10^6 cells
Representative data are included in this product insert.

Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Buffer Product is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS / NaN3.
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Protect conjugated products from light.
Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed.
Storage 4 °C
