Description: BRCA2-9D3 recognizes the BRCA2 gene product, a 390kDa nuclear protein. The BRCA2 gene was originally isolated based on its importance in the predisposition of women to early-onset breast and ovarian cancers, suggesting mutations affect its tumor suppressor-like activity. Targeted disruption of the BRCA2 gene in mice and binding of Rad51 to its carboxyl terminus have indicated an involvement in DNA recombination and double strand break repair.

Application Notes: Do not boil samples for longer than two minutes. For WB: Use at a concentration of 1-5 ug/ml. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.
