Alternative Name TUBB / TUBB5 (TUBB Antibody Abstract)
Background Tubulin is the major building block of microtubules. This intracellular cylindrical filamentous structure is present in almost all eukaryotic cells. Microtubules function as structural and mobile elements in mitosis, intracellular transport, flagellar movement, and in the cytoskeleton.
Synonyms: P07437, OK/SWcl.56, M40, MGC16435, TUBB5, 191130, TUBB, beta Tubulin, OK/SW-cl.56, MGC117247, TUBB1, 203068, OK/SW cl.56
Pathways Microtubule Dynamics
Application Notes ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. ICC: Use at an assay dependent dilution (3% paraformaldehyde-0.5% Triton X-100 and methanol-acetone. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: Use at a concentration of 0.5-1 ug/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 50 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
