Additional Information

Alternative name Cytokeratin 1
Immunogen Human epidermal keratin
Format Liquid
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Description This antibody recognizes the 10, 14, 15, 16, and 19 (56.5, 50, 50?, 48, 40 kD) cytokeratin polypeptides that are the members of the acidic subfamily. This antibody can be used to generally recognize normal and neoplastic cells of epithelial origin. It reacts with most simple epithelial and stratified, non-squamous epithelia. This antibody is negative with human epidermis.
Specificity This antibody reacts with MCF-7, RT 112 and A 431 cultured cell lines.

Application Details

Application Notes NOT Suitable for use in Western blotting. For IF, IHC-Fr, and ICC: Use at an assay dependent dilutions. Fro IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT. For staining of formalin-fixed tissues, digest sections with trypsin at 1mg/ml PBS, 10 min at 37C or Protease XXV at 1mg/ml PBS for 5minutes at 37C. This antibody is an excellent marker for distinguishing carcinomas from non-epithelial tumours. This antibody used alongside ABIN145466 has also been used extensively for distinguishing carcinoma from non-carcinoma. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentartions should be determined by the researcher.
