Description: Ab16007 may be a useful tool for characterization of carcinoids.In a study of 48 cases of adenomas and carcinoid tumours of the middle ear, the antibody labelled tumour cells in 12 cases (25%). In 1 case of carcinoid tumour of the middle ear, the antibody labelled tumour cells. In a study of 43 cases of bronchial carcinoid tumours, the antibody labelled tumour cells in 13 cases (30%). Cells labelled by the antibody display a cytoplasmic staining pattern.

Application Notes: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin/Frozen) 1:20 -1:40, When using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues, a high temperature antigenic unmasking technique is strongly recommended (For formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections require boiling the tissue in 10 mM citrate, pH 6.0 buffer for 10 minute, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes), OR FFPE tissue sections may be treated with proteases before addition of primary antibody. Can also be use on acetone-fixed cryostat sections or for fixed cell smears at a dilution of 1:20-1:40. The optimum dilution should be determined by the individual lab.
