Immunogen Full length native protein (purified) (Human).
Isotype IgG1
Specificity Specifically recognizes native, undenatured, human collagen type IV . Shows no cross reactivity with collagen types I, II, III, V, VI, VII, human vitronectin, fibronectin, or chondroitin sulfate A. B and C. No reactivity with denatured or denatured-reduce
Cross-Reactivity Monkey
Purification Ascites
Alternative Name Collagen type IV
Background Collagen IV is a major constituent of the basement membranes along with laminins and enactins. It is composed of alpha 1 IV chain and alpha 2 IV chain in 2:1 ratio . It can form insoluble fibers with high tensile strength. Antibody to collagen IV is useful in detecting the loss of parts of basement membrane in carcinomas.
Research Area Extracellular Matrix
Application Notes Dot: Use at an assay dependant dilution. ELISA: Use at an assay dependant dilution. IHC-F: Use at a dilution of 1/500. ICC: Use at an assay dependant dilution. IHC-P: Use at an assay dependant dilution. WB: Use at an assay dependant dilution. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
