Description: Mammalian PNK catalyzes the 5-prime phosphorylation of nucleic acids and can have associated 3-prime phosphatase activity, predictive of an important function in DNA repair following ionizing radiation or oxidative damage.

Application Details

Application Notes: WB on fusion protein: Use at a dilution of 1/1000. This antibody has been used to successfully detect PNK as a fusion protein in a yeast lysate (see picture below). However, it has not been successfully used to detect endogenous PNK in cell lines (HepG2, HeLa and 293). Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. PNK is detected at 60kD in Western blotting.
