Description
|
MSK 1, a Mitogen and Stress activated protein Kinase, is activated by ERK as well as p38 MAPK in response to growth factors and various cellular stress stimuli. MSK 1 resembles RSK by having two kinase domains connected by a regulator linker region. Phosphorylation of RSK 1 at Ser 364, Ser381 and Thr574 is critical for RSK 1 activity. These sites are analogous to Ser360, Ser376 and Thr581 of MSK 1 and maybe important for MSK 1 activity as well.

Specificity
|
This antibody detects 90 kDa MSK 1 only when phosphorylated at Thr581. It does not cross-react with non-phosphorylated MSK 1, or MSK 1 phosphorylated at other sites. It does not cross-react with RSK 1, RSK 2 or RSK 3.

WB: Use at a concentration of 1-2 ug/ml. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
