Immunogen C-DYVPKLYEQLSGK
Isotype IgG
Specificity This antibody is specific for PEBP1.
Cross-Reactivity Rat (Rattus)
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide..
Alternative Name PEBP1 / RKIP
Background PBP binds ATP, opioids and phosphatidylethanolamine. Has lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. It is a serine protease inhibitor which inhibits thrombin, neuropsin and chymotrypsin but not trypsin, tissue type plasminogen activator and elastase (by similarity).
Synonyms: phosphatidylethanolamine binding protein 1, Raf kinase inhibitory protein, PEBP, RKIP, phosphatidylethanolamine binding protein1, RAF kinase inhibitor protein, hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide, PEBP1, PBP, prostatic binding protein, HCNP
Application Notes WB: Use at a concentration of 0.5-2 ug/ml. Detects a band of approximately 20-22 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 22 kDa). Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
