Alternative Name Adapter protein CIKS
Background CIKS (for connection to IKK and SAPK / JNK), also called Act 1 (for NF kappa B Activator 1), is a novel protein that associates with and activates IKK (I kappa B kinase). CIKS / Act1 also activates ATF (Activating Transcription Factor) and AP-1 (Activator Protein 1) through Jun Kinase (JNK). CIKS / Act 1 is ubiquitously expressed in human tissues.
Synonyms: C6orf5, CIKS, TRAF3IP2, MGC3581, 10758, DKFZP586G0522, C6orf6, O43734, C6orf4, 607043, ACT1, C6orf2
Research Area Transcription Factors
Application Notes WB: Use at a concentration of 1.0 ug/ml. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
