Alternative Name RAD17 (RAD17 Antibody Abstract)
Background Signals originating from damaged DNA activate checkpoint pathways and target themitotic apparatus via a number a distinct mechanisms. These checkpoints link damageto DNA with the components of the cell cycle through signal transduction systems. In mammals, five genes have been identified as components of DNA damage-inducedcheckpoint pathways: ATM, p53, p21/WAF1/CIP1, hCHK1, and 14-3-3sigma. Whenoverexpressed in mammalian cells, hRAD17 activates p53 and causes an accumulationof G1 phase cells, suggesting an involvement of the hRAD17 gene in this checkpointpathway.(1). Alternate Names: anti-Cell cycle checkpoint protein antibody, anti-HRAD17 antibody, anti-R24L antibody,anti-RAD17 homolog antibody, anti-Rad17 like protein antibody, anti-RAD17Spantibody, anti-Rad24 antibody, anti-RF C activator 1 homolog antibody.
Gene Symbol: RAD17
Gene ID 5884
Application Notes This antibody is useful for Western Blot. Flow Cytometry was reported in scientific literature.
Recommended dilutions: Flow Cytometry, Western Blot 1:500 -1:1000
Restrictions For Research Use only
Concentration 1 mg/mL
Buffer PBS, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage 4 °C
Storage Comment 4 °C short term. Aliquot and store at -20 °C long term.
