Alternative Name CREB1 (CREB1 Antibody Abstract)
Background Cyclic AMP Response Element Binding protein (CREB) is a basic / leucine zippertranscription factor that binds the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and activatestranscription in response to a variety of extracellular signals including neurotransmitters, hormones, membrane depolarization, and growth and neurotrophic factors. CREB isalso regulated by DNA-damaging stimuli and is directly phosphorylated on Ser-121 bythe ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated protein kinase, ATM in response to ionizing radiation. Alternate Names: anti-Active transcription factor CREB antibody, anti-cAMP responsive element bindingprotein 1 antibody, anti-CREB1 antibody, anti-MGC9284 antibody, anti-Transactivatorprotein antibody.
Gene Symbol: CREB1
Gene ID 1385, 12912
UniProt P16220
Pathways TCR Signaling, TLR Signaling, Fc-epsilon Receptor Signaling Pathway, EGFR Signaling Pathway, Neurotrophin Signaling Pathway
Application Notes This CREB [p Ser121] antibody is useful for Immunoprecipitation and Western blot.
Recommended dilutions: immunoprecipitation 0.5 µg, Western Blot 1:500
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Concentration 0.3 mg/mL
Buffer Tris 50 % glycerol, Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment -20 °C.
