Additional Information

Alternative name CREB1
Gene ID 1385, 12912
Immunogen A phospho-peptide spanning the Ser-121 phosphorylation site of human CREB.
Cross-Reactivity Human, Mouse (Murine)
Description Cyclic AMP Response Element Binding protein (CREB) is a basic / leucine zippertranscription factor that binds the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and activatestranscription in response to a variety of extracellular signals including neurotransmitters, hormones, membrane depolarization, and growth and neurotrophic factors. CREB isalso regulated by DNA-damaging stimuli and is directly phosphorylated on Ser-121 bythe ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated protein kinase, ATM in response to ionizing radiation. Alternate Names: anti-Active transcription factor CREB antibody, anti-cAMP responsive element bindingprotein 1 antibody, anti-CREB1 antibody, anti-MGC9284 antibody, anti-Transactivatorprotein antibody.
Specificity This antibody is specific for the Ser-121-phosphorylated form of CREB.Phosphorylated:Ser121. Species Reactivity: Reacts with human and mouse CREB. Other species have not been tested. Localization: Nuclear.
