Description DNA polymerase d (delta) functions in DNA replication and DNA repair. It alsopossesses 3', to 5', exonuclease activity. In leading strand synthesis itrequires the processivity factor, PCNA. It is also possibly involved in the completion ofDNA synthesis during Okazaki fragment elongation following the initiation of synthesisby the DNA polymerase a/primase complex.
Specificity Species Reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human. Not yet tested in other species. Localization: Nuclear.
