Cross-Reactivity (Details) Not yet tested in other species.
Purification Protein A purified
Alternative Name APC / DP2.5
Background This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that includes among its manyintracellular functions one of nuclear export. Defects in this gene cause familialadenomatous polyposis (FAP), an autosomal dominant pre-malignant disease thatusually progresses to malignancy. Disease-associated mutations tend to be clustered ina small region designated the mutation cluster region (MCR) and result in a truncatedprotein product. Alternate Names: anti-Adenomatous Polyposis Coli antibody, anti-APC antibody, anti-DP2 antibody,anti-DP2.5 antibody, anti-DP3 antibody, anti-FAP antibody, anti-FPC antibody, anti-GSantibody.
Gene Symbol: APC
Gene ID 324, 11789
Research Area Coagulation
