Description
TRA-1-60 is a cell-surface protein involved in cell differentiation. Cell surface antigensare powerful tools for characterizing the function and expression of developmentallyregulated cells during both embryogenesis and oncogenesis. Alternate Names: anti-TRA160 antibody.
Specificity
TRA-1-60 recognizes antigens that are associated with a pericellular matrixproteoglycan. TRA-1-60 reacts with a sialidase-sensitive epitope. Species Reactivity: This antibody reacts with the neuraminidase resistant form of the TRA-1-60 antigen thatis expressed upon the surface of human teratocarcinoma stem cells (EC), humanembryonic germ cells (EG) and human embryonic stem cells (ES). No immunoreactivityis seen with murine EC, EG or ES cells. Localization: Cell Membrane.
