Immunogen: Immunogen was brominated poly-(DG-DC)-left handed DNA (Z-DNA) complexed tomethylated BSA.

Description: Z-DNA is one of the many possible double helical structures of DNA. It is a left-handeddouble helical structure in which the double helix winds to the left in a zig-zag pattern(instead of to the right, like the more common B-DNA form). Z-DNA is thought to be oneof three biologically active double helical structures along with A- and B-DNA.

Specificity: Immunoprecipitation experiments were performed testing antibody concentrationsranging from 16 to 0.08 ug/mL and assayed by A405 nm spectrophotometry. Nearlycomplete immunoprecipitation was obtained at 8 ug/mL. The control was non-immuneimmunoglobulin. Species Reactivity: Cross-reacts with Human.
