| Description | Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, anddevelopmental events. Histone cetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structureand affects transcription factor access to DNA. The protein encoded by this genebelongs to the histone acetylase/acuc/apha family. It has histone deacetylase activityand represses transcription when tethered to a promoter. It may participate in theregulation of transcription through its binding with the zinc-finger transcription factorYY1. This protein can also down-regulate p53 function and thus modulate cell growthand apoptosis. This gene is regarded as a potential tumor suppressor gene. Alternate Names: Anti-RPD3 2 antibody, Anti-HD 3 antibody, Anti-HD3 antibody, Anti-HDAC 3 antibody,Anti-Histone deacetylase 3 (HD3) (RPD3-2) antibody, Anti-histone deacetylase 3antibody, Anti-RPD 3 antibody, Anti-RPD3 antibody, Anti-RPD3-2 antibody, Anti-SMAP45 antibody, Anti-SMAP45 antibody. |
