Immunogen A synthetic peptide made to the C-terminal region of human FOXP3 (between residues400-431).
Specificity This antibody is specific for human FOXP3. Species Reactivity: Human. This antibody does not appear to detect the mouse FOXP3 protein by westernblot, but does work on mouse tissue for IHC (see data below). Other species have notbeen tested.
Cross-Reactivity Human
Purification Affinity Purified
Alternative Name FOXP3
Background FOXP3 is a member of the forkhead/winged-helix family of transcriptional regulators andis highly conserved across mammals. FOXP3 is essential for normal immunehomeostasis. FOXP3 is stably and constitutively expressed at a high level in CD25 + CD4 positiveregulatory T cells, a low level in CD4-positive/CD25-negative cells, and is absent inCD4-negative/CD8-positive T cells. FOXP3 may be a master regulatory gene and amore specific marker of regulatory T cells than other T cells. Alternate Names: anti-FOXP3 antibody, anti-JM2 antibody, anti-AIID antibody, anti-IPEX antibody,anti-PIDX antibody, anti-XPID antibody, anti-DIETER antibody, anti-SCURFIN antibody,anti-forkhead box P3 antibody, anti-scurfin antibody, anti-JM2 protein antibody,anti-immunodeficiency antibody, anti-polyendocrinopathy antibody, anti-enteropathyantibody, anti-X-linked antibody, anti-immune dysregulation antibody,anti-polyendocrinopathy antibody, anti-enteropathy antibody, anti-X-linked antibody,anti-Official Symbol antibody, anti-FOXP3 antibody.
