Immunogen Rabbits were immunized with a synthetic peptide representing amino acid residues 95 to 108 of RNA polymerase alpha subunit of simion virus 5 conjugated to KLH.
Purification affinity purified
Alternative Name Pk (V5) Epitope Tag (GKPIPNPLLGLDST)
Target Type Tag
Background The V5 epitope tag is derived from a small epitope (Pk) present on the P and V proteinsof the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5). The V5 tag is usually used with all 14amino acids (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), although it has also been used with a shorter 9amino acid sequence (IPNPLLGLD). Alternate Names: anti-GKPIPNPLLGLDST epitope tag antibody, anti-GKPIPNPLLGLDST tag antibody,anti-V5 epitope tag antibody.

Application Notes Use in Immunohistochemistry reported in scientific literature (PMID: 23785054)
Recommended dilutions: ELISA 1:100-1:2000, Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence 1:100-1:400, Immunohistochemistry 1:100-1:400, Western Blot 1:1000-1:30000

Concentration 1.0 mg/mL
Buffer Phosphate buffered Saline (PBS), Sodium Azide
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Do not freeze.
