Additional Information

Characteristics Synonyms: Histone acetyltransferase type B catalytic subunit
Swiss-Prot O14929
Immunogen Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 445 of human HAT-1
Description Histone acetyltransferases (HATs) have been implicated in a number of cellular functionsincluding gene regulation, DNA synthesis, and repair. Histone acetyltransferases anddeacetylases are, respectively, the enzymes devoted to the addition and removal of acetylgroups from lysine residues on the histone N-terminal tails. The enzymes exertfundamental roles in developmental processes and their deregulation has been linked tothe progression of diverse human disorders, including cancer.
Specificity The antibody recognizes 50 kDa HAT-1. Species: Human, Mouse, Rat. Others not tested. Add. Information: Blocking peptide (ABIN155147) is also available.

Application Details

Application Notes Western Blot: 1-2 μg/ml, Jurkat cell lysate can be used as a positive control. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration 0.2 mg/ml
Buffer PBS containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at -20°C or for long term storage (in aliquots) at -70°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. Pictures: Western blot analysis of HAT-1expression in Jurkat celllysate.
