Description
The FOXD3 polyclonal antibody recognizes human FOXD3 also known as Forkhead box protein D3 and HNF3/FH transcription factor genesis. FOXD3 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct forkhead domain, predicted molecular weight 48 kD. FOXD3 binds to the consensus sequence 5'-A[AT]T[AG]TTTGTTT-3' and acts as a transcriptional repressor. Also acts as a transcriptional activator. FOXD3 is essential for multiple developmental processes in the vertebrate embryo, including neural crest development and maintenance of mammalian stem cell lineages. The poly6317 antibody has been shown to be useful for Western blotting. Distribution: Nucleus, expressed in embryonic stem cells Function: Binds to the consensus sequence 5'-A[AT]T[AG]TTTGTTT-3' and acts as a transcriptional repressor. Also acts as a transcriptional activator. FOXD3 is essential for multiple developmental processes in the vertebrate embryo, including neural crest development and maintenance of mammalian stem cell lineages. Synonyms: Forkhead box protein D3, HNF3/FH transcription factor genesis Structure: FOXD3 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct forkhead domain, predicted molecular weight 48 kD.

Application Notes
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. Western blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 10 µl per 5 ml antibody dilution buffer for each mini-gel. For immunofluorescence microscopy: Use a starting dilution of 1:100. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
