Additional Information

Alternative name Perforin
Immunogen Purified granules from the human lymphoma cell line YT
Isotype IgG2b, kappa chain
Clone DG9
Description Perforin is a 70 kD cytolytic protein that is expressed in the cytoplasmic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and natural killer (NK) cells. Perforin is one of the major effector molecules used by cytotoxic T cells and NK cells to mediate targeted cell lysis. The dG9 antibody recognizes human and bovine perforin and has been shown to be useful for flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence staining. Distribution: CTL, NK (cytoplasmic granules) Function: Mediates targeted cell lysis Structure: 70 kD
Specificity ), does not cross-react with mouse.

Application Details

Application Notes Additional reported applications (for the relevant formats) include: immunoprecipitation, intracellular flow cytometric analysis and immunofluorescence microscopy, and immunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixed frozen tissue sections and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 20 µl per million cells or 20 µl per 100 µl of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Purification The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with APC under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated APC and unconjugated antibody.
Buffer Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA (origin USA).
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4°C and protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Research Area Inflammation, Immunology
