Description This mouse monoclonal antibody recognizes human GPR83 also known as G protein coupled receptor 83, GIR, G protein coupled receptor 72, and GPR72. GPR83 is a multi-pass membrane protein, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. GPR83 is an orphan GPR most homologous to the tachykinin and neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptors, has a predicted molecular weight 48 kD. GPR83 is expressed in brain and upregulated in both murine and human Treg. GPR83 might be critically involved in the peripheral generation of Foxp3 Treg cells in vivo. The GPR83-1 monoclonal antibody has been shown to be useful for Western blotting. Distribution: GPR83 is expressed in brain, T cells Function: GPR83 is an orphan GPR most homologous to the tachykinin and neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptors. A critical factor in the peripheral generation of Foxp3 Treg cells in vivo. Synonyms: G protein coupled receptor 83, GIR, G protein coupled receptor 72, GPR72 Regulation: GPR83 is present at high levels in T regulatory cell Structure: Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Multi-pass membrane protein. Predicted molecular weight 48 kD.

Application Details

Application Notes Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. Western blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 5 µg antibody per 5 ml antibody dilution buffer for each mini-gel. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Purification The monoclonal antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Buffer This antibody is provided in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide at 0.5 mg/ml.
Storage The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 °C.
Restrictions For Research Use only
