| Description | P34cdc2(a catalytic subunit of Maturation Promoting Factor) plays a crucial role during celldivision and is most active during mitosis. It is a serine/threonine kinase, which isactivated by cyclin, by dephosphorylation of tyrosine residues. p34cdc2 is inactivated by atyrosine kinase. |
| Specificity | This antibody supports the kinase activity. It inhibits the activation of p34cdc2 kinase bycyclins. Cellular Localization: cytoplasmic. Mol. Wt of Antigen: 34kDSpecies: Human, Mouse, Rat, Guinea Pig, Woodchuck, Xenopus, and ChickenOthers not tested. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Immunofluorescence. Immunoprecipitation (Native and denatured): use Protein A and Ab at2 g/mg protein lysate. Kinase Assay. Western Blotting (1-2g/ml for 2hrs at RT). Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): 2-4 ug/ml for 30min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixedtissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Recommendedpositive control: HeLa, MAD109, PC12 or NIH-3T3 Cells, Tonsil, or Lymph Node. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. |
| Concentration | 0.2 mg/ml |
| Buffer | 10mM PBS buffer with 0.09% sodium azide as preservative and 0.2% BSAas stabilizer |
| Storage | Store the antibody at 4-8°C for one month or at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezingand thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
