Description
|
The Ku autoantigen is a heterodimer of 70kDa (p70) and ~80kDa (p80) proteins. Thep70/p80 dimer is important for function of a 460kDa DNA-dependent protein kinase thatphosphorylates certain transcription factors, including Sp1, Oct-1, p53, and SV40 large Tantigen in vitro. Ku protein plays a role in cell signaling, proliferation, DNA repair,replication, transcriptional activation, and apoptosis.

The Epitope is located between aa 610-705. Cellular Localization: nuclear. Mol. Wt. ofAntigen: 80kDSpecies: Human and Monkey. Does not react with Cow, Rabbit, Mouse, and Rat. Others not tested.

Application Notes
|
Flow Cytometry. Immunofluorescence. Immunoprecipitation (Native and denatured): useprotein G and Ab at 2 g/mg protein lysate. Western Blotting: 0.5-1.0 ug/ml 2 Hrs. RT. Recommended positive control: HeLa or BT474 Cells. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
