Application Notes: Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 0.75g/mL - 2g/mL. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: This product requires antigen retrieval usingheat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 isrecommended for this purpose. Recommended Positive Control: Normal lung

Background: Podoplanin a 36 kDa type I cell membrane-associated glycoprotein, with a broad spectrum of distribution, being strongly expressed on the lymphatic endothelium found in lung, placenta and skeletal muscle and to a lesser extent in brain, kidney and liver. Podoplanin is absent on blood endothelium and therefore This antibody is readily able to distinguish between lymphatic vessels and blood vasculature.
