Immunogen
A peptide from the C-terminus of the human Cullin-1.
Description
CUL-1 is a member of the family of human cullin genes (CUL-1, -2, -3, -4a,-4b, and -5)homologous to the S. cerevisiae cdc53 gene. CUL 1 forms a complex with human p19skp1and F box protein p45skp2, both of which, together with cdc53 (known as CULA), as threesubunits, form a ubiquitin ligase controlling proteolysis of G1 cell cycle regulatory proteins.
Specificity
Highly specific for Cullin 1. Does not react with other Cullins. Cellular Localization: Nuclear. Mol. Wt. of Antigen: 86kD. Species: Human and Mouse. Does not react with Rat. Others not tested.
Application Notes
Immunoprecipitation (Denaturated)(Use Protein A): Ab at 10 micrograms/mg protein lysate. Western Blotting: Ab 5-10 micrograms/ml for 2hrs at RT. Immunohistology(Formalin/paraffin): Ab 5-10 micrograms/ml for 30 min at RT (Staining of formalin-fixedtissues REQUIRES boilingtissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for20 min. ) Recommended positive control: HeLa Cells, Tonsil. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
