Immunogen A peptide corresponding to amino acid residue 733-745 (Cys-RSQASADEYSYVA) at C- terminus of the human Cullin-2
Specificity Highly specific for Cullin 2. Does not react with other Cullins.
Purification Protein A affinity purified immunoglobulin fraction
Alternative Name Cullin-2
Background CUL-2 is a member of the family of human cullin genes (CUL-1, -2, -3,-4a,-4b, and -5), homologous to the S. cerevisiae cdc53 gene. CUL-1 forms a complex with human p19skp1 and F box protein p45skp2. Together with cdc53 (known as CULA), as three subunits, they form a ubiquitin ligase controlling proteolysis of G1 cell cycle regulatory proteins.
Alternate names: CUL-2, CUL2
Cellular Localization: Nuclear.
Molecular Weight 76kD.
Gene ID 8453
NCBI Accession NP_001185706
UniProt Q13617
Application Notes Western Blotting: Ab 5-10g/ml for 2hrs at RT. Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): Ab1: 25- 1: 50 for 30 min. RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues REQUIRES boiling tissue sectionsin 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Recommended positive control: MAD109 Cells, Tonsil. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
