Immunogen A synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminus of human XRCC2 protein.
Specificity This antibody detects XRCC2.
Purification Protein A chromatography
Alternative Name XRCC2
Background XRCC2 (X-Ray Cross Complementing 2) is essential for repairing the double srand DNA breaks by homologous recombination between sister chromatids. It is homologous to Rad51. Five human homologues of RAD 51, XRCC2, XRCC3, RAD51B, RAD51C, RAD51D, interact among themselves to form one big complex or several smaller complexes.
Alternate names: DNA repair protein XRCC2, X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 2
Cellular Localization: Nuclear and cytoplasmic
Gene ID 7516
NCBI Accession NP_005422.1
UniProt O43543
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, DNA/RNA
Application Notes Western Blotting: Ab 5-10 ug/ml for 2 hrs at RT. Immunohistology (formalin/paraffin): Ab 10-20 ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining offormalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Recommended positive control: HT29 orHeLa cells. Testis. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Concentration 1 mg/mL
Buffer 10 mM PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.2 % BSA & 0.09 % sodium azide.
Preservative Sodium azide
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment Store the antibody at 4-8 °C for one month or at -20 °C for longer.
