Immunogen
A synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminus of human XRCC2 protein. Remarks: Mol. Wt. of Antigen: 32 kDa
Description
XRCC2 (X-Ray Cross Complementing 2) is essential for repairing the double srand DNAbreaks by homologous recombination between sister chromatids. It is homologous toRad51. Five human homologues of RAD 51, XRCC2, XRCC3, RAD51B, RAD51C, RAD51D,interact among themselves to form one big complex or several smaller complexes.
Specificity
This antibody detects XRCC2. Cellular Localization: Nuclear and cytoplasmicSpecies: Human. Others not tested.
Application Notes
Western Blotting: Ab 5-10 ug/ml for 2 hrs at RT. Immunohistology (formalin/paraffin): Ab 10-20 ug/ml for 30 min at RT. Staining offormalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Recommended positive control: HT29 orHeLa cells. Testis. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
