Predicted Reactivity Bovine : 100 %, Human : 100 %, Pig : 100 %, Rabbit : 100 %, Chicken : 90 %, Mouse : 90 %, Rat : 90 %, African clawed frog : 80 %, Guinea pig : 80 %, Zebrafish : 70 %
Characteristics This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against SOX14. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.
Purification Protein A purified
Alternative Name SOX14
Background This intronless gene, SOX14, encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional regulator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. Mutations in the SOX14 gene are suggested to be responsible for the limb defects associated with blepharophimosis, ptosis, epicanthus inversus syndrome (BPES) and Mobius syndrome.
Molecular Weight 26 kDa
Gene ID 8403
NCBI Accession NP_004180, NM_004189
UniProt O95416
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, Transcription Factors
Application Notes Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
