Additional Information
| Alternative name | Adiponectin |
| Isotype | IgG (Matching secondary antibodies) |
| Clone | BV801 |
| Description | Adipocyctes are highly active cells with potent autocrine, paracrine and endocrine functions. Adiponectin is a serum protein produced and secreted exclusively by adipose tissues. Unlike insulin and leptin, adiponectin levels in plasma remain constant throughout the day and are not acutely affected by food intake. |
| Specificity | Reacts with the 30 kDa mouse adiponectin and also cross-reacts to a lesser extent with human and rat adiponectin. Species Reactivity: Mouse, human and rat. Others not tested. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | ELISA: Use at 1 µg/mL Western blot: Use at 1 µg/mL The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the researcher. |
| Buffer | 50 µg at 0.5 mg/mL in PBS, pH 7.2, containing 1% protein stabilizer, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. |
| Storage | Store at -20 °C. For long term storage, aliquot and refreeze at -70 °C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. |
