Description
|
Laminins are a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins that are a major component of basement membranes. They are involved and/or implicated in a vast number of important biological processes that include metastasis, cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling and neurite outgrowth. Given their participation in diverse physiological processes, it is not surprising that defects in their genes or how these important proteins assemble, can lead to numerous, complex and serious diseases.

Recognizes laminin-1 Species Reactivity: Human, mouse, and rat. Others not tested.

Application Notes
|
Immunocytochemistry: Use at a 1:100 - 1:2,500 dilution. Immunofluorescence: Use at a 1:100 - 1:2,500 dilution. Immunohistochemistry Western blot: Use at a 1:1,000 -1:5,000 dilution. The optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by the researcher. Rat peripheral nerve (low and high magnification, formalin-fixed, frozen sections). Immuno-FITC stain (color inverted) with anti-Laminin-1 antibody (1:1,000).
