Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-KQKLRNNDLKKQN, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_082111.1.
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name MDA5 / IFIH1
Background Synonyms: Ifih1, interferon induced with helicase C domain 1, 9130009C22Rik, Helicard, Hlcd, MDA-5, MDA5, MGC90959, melanoma differentiation associated protein-5
Gene ID 71586
NCBI Accession NP_082111
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 80 kDa band in Mouse Brain lysates after 1 µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 116 kDa according to NP_082111.1. The 80 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
