Description
|
Guanylin is an endogenous activator of intestinal guanylate cyclase. It stimulates thisenzyme through the same receptor binding region as the heat-stable enterotoxins. Guanylin is highly expressed in ileum and colon, found in plasma and belongs to theguanylin family.
