This Glutamate Receptor 1 antibody is un-conjugated
Application
Western Blotting (WB)
Specificity
GluR1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of GluR1 only when phosphorylated at serine 849.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human GluR1 around the phosphorylation site of serine 849 (Q-Q-SP-I-N ).
Western Blot: 1: 500approx. 1: 1000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Glutamate dehydrogenase has a central role in nitrogen metabolism in plants and animals. Glutamate dehydrogenase is found in all organisms and catalyzes the oxidative deamination of 1-glutamate to 2-oxoglutarate. Glutamate, the main substrate of Glutamate dehydrogenase, is present in brain in concentrations higher than in other organs. In nervous tissue, Glutamate dehydrogenase appears to function in both the synthesis and the catabolism of glutamate and perhaps in ammonia detoxification.Synonyms: AMPA-selective glutamate receptor 1, AMPA1, GLUH1, GRIA1, GluR-1, GluR-A, GluR-K1, Glutamate receptor ionotropic
