Additional Information

Alternative name CD5
Immunogen A synthetic cyclic peptides from the antigen
Format Liquid (prediluted)
Clone BV1
Specificity CD5 is a glycoprotein monomer with a MW of 67 000 belonging to the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) family of extracellular domain-like structures, and it possesses a large cytoplasmic domain suitable for signal transduction. CD5 is a T-cell marker that is also reacts with a range of neoplastic B-cells, e.g. B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), B-cell small lymphocytic lymphoma (B-SLL), and mantle cell lymphoma. CD5 is expressed in T lymphocyte subsets and is modulated during cellular activation, however it does not react with granulocytes or monocytes.

Application Details

Application Notes Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 1 mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. Positive Control: Tonsil. Cellular localization: Membrane
Concentration 1 to 4 ug/ml
Buffer This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required.
Storage Store the antibody at 2-8o c. Do not use it beyond the expiration date stated on the label.
Restrictions For Research Use. CE-certified for In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Use in the European Union
