Immunogen A synthetic Myc tag peptide
Sequence EQKLISEEDL
Clone 8
Isotype IgG1
Specificity Recognize N-terminal, C-terminal Myc Tag in fusion proteins.
Characteristics This antibody was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, a synthetic Myc tag peptide conjugated to KLH. The IgG fraction of the cell culture supernatant was purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Purification Affinity Purified
Sterility 0.2 μm filtered
Target Type Tag
Background Myc tag is a polypeptide protein tag derived from the c-myc gene product that can be added to a protein. It can help to separate recombinant, overexpressed protein from wild type protein expressed by the host organism. Myc Tag also can be used to isolate protein complexes with multiple subunits. The Myc Tag Antibody is produced by the conjugation of a synthetic Myc tag peptide to KLH. Myc Tag Antibody can be used in various immunoassays, such as ELISA, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and more.
Application Notes Western blot - WB: Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Buffer PBS with 5% trehalose
Preservative Without preservative
Handling Advice Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage 4 °C/-20 °C/-80 °C
Storage Comment This antibody can be stored at 2°C-8°C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly.
Expiry Date 12 months
