Alternative Name Caspase-6 (CASP6 Antibody Abstract)
Background Caspase-6 is one of the major executioner caspases functioning in cellular apoptotic processes. Similar as other caspases, caspase-6 is also synthesized as an inactive pro-enzyme that is processed in cells undergoing apoptosis. Caspase-6 has also been shown involving in the proteolysis of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and nuclear lamin A.
Synonyms: CASP6, CASP-6 , MCH2
Gene ID 83584
Research Area Apoptosis/Necrosis
Pathways Apoptosis, Caspase Cascade in Apoptosis
Application Notes Western blotting (0.5-4 μg/mL), and Immunohistochemistry (5 μg/mL).
Jurkat cell lysate , mouse intestine , and rat kidney (Cat. 2702-100) tissue lysate can be used as a positive controls.
However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
