Immunogen Synthetic peptide spanning the polymorphic AA position 158 of Apo E
Clone E6D7
Isotype IgG1
Specificity Specific to Human Apo E. Does not cross-react with mouse and rabbit. Reacts to the E2, E3 and E4 isoforms of apolipoprotein E.
Characteristics MAb to Apolipoprotein E, Monoclonal antibody to Apolipoprotein E (Apo E), Ascites
Purification Tissue culture supernatant
Alternative Name Apolipoprotein E (Apo E) (APOE Antibody Abstract)
Research Area Metabolism
Application Notes Western blot (1:1.000-1:10.000) ELISA Immunoprecipitation Immunohistochemistry: (1:1.000-1:10.000) Frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues. The staining intensity of formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues may be significantly improved by the pretreatment of: Formic acid (70 %) for 10-30 minutes at room temperature. HIER (Heat Induced Epitope Retrieval) with buffers such as citrate. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Buffer PBS.
Preservative Without preservative
Handling Advice Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
