Description

MAb to CD2 Monoclonal Antibody to CD2 gp 50kDa

Specificity
CD2 is a group of antibodies which recognizes the T cell receptor for sheep red blood cells. This receptor is present on 80% of normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes, 95% of thymocytes, 100% of T lymphocytes and on a part of Natural Killer cells. Several epitopes can be distinguished on the target molecule. The antibody 6F10.3 reacts with the T11-2 epitope. The clone 39C1.5 (Catalog P42395M) reacts with the T11-1 epitope. The combination of the monoclonal antibodies is strongly mitogenic in the presence of TPA.

Application Notes
Study of T cell functions Fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry: 2 microgram/5x105 cells/test Immunohistochemistry: working dilution 1:25 to 1:50 This antibody is only suitable on cryostat sections or cell smears Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.? FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY. NOT FOR USE IN DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES. Catalog P42180M Page 2 of 2
