Sheep anti IgA Secretory Piece Sheep Antibody to Human Immunoglobulin A (IgA), Secretory Piece

Specificity
Single arc when tested by IEP against Pooled colostrum, Donor saliva sample, Purified S-IgA, and Purified free secretory component. No reaction when tested by IEP against Pooled serum, Purified A1 and A2 (serum source) or Purified IgA, IgG and IgM (serum source). This antiserum will react with secretory component insitu on immunoglobulin or in the free state.

Application Notes
Suitable for use in a variety of gel techniques including radial immunodiffusion (RID), double diffusion and immunoelectrophoresis (IEP). The use of 3% PEG 6000 with 1.2% agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital pH >8.2) is recommended. Suitability for use in immunohistochemical procedures, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and Western blot has not been assessed but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded. The following conditions should be used only as guidelines. RID: 16ul antiserum/cm2 in gel vs 5ul fresh human milk, Neat - 1:5. Double Diffusion: 10ul antiserum vs 10ul fresh human milk. IEP: 100ul antiserum vs 10ul fresh human milk.

Purification
>95% pure (SDS-PAGE). If necessary, is adsorbed to monospecificity by use of solid-phase adsorbents. An immunoglobulin fraction is then produced.

Storage
Upon receipt, store at 2-8°C. Slight precipitation can occur on storage which may be removed by centrifugation and should not affect performance characteristics. : This product contains sodium azide, which has been classified as Xn (Harmful), in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0.1 - 1.0 %. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing, flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains.
