Immunogen Leukocytes of a patient suffering from LGL Type Leukemia.
Cross-Reactivity Human
Isotype IgG1
Clone MEM-87
Description The CD8 T cell coreceptor (monomer approx. 32-34 kDa) is expressed as αβ heterodimer onmajority of MHC I-restricted conventional T cells and thymocytes and as αα homodimer onsubsets of memory T cells, intraepithelial lymphocytes, NK cells and dendritic cells. Regulation of CD8β level on T cell surface seems to be an important mechanism to controltheir effector function. Assembly of CD8 α-β but not α-α dimers is connected with formationor localization to the lipid rafts. Recruiting triggered TCR complexes to these membranemicrodomains as well as affinity of TCR to MHC I is modulated by CD8, thereby affecting thefunctional diversity of the TCR signaling.
Specificity The antibody MEM-87 recognizes CD8, a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxicT lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. CD8is a disulfide-linked dimer and exists as a CD8α homodimer or CD8α/β heterodimer (eachmonomer approx. 32-34 kDa). Species: Human. Others not tested.

Application Details

Application Notes this biotinylated antibody is suitable for indirect Immunofluorescence analysis by FlowCytometry: 5-10 ug/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration 1.0 mg/ml
Buffer PBS, pH 7.4 containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative.Label: Conjugated with Biotin-LC-NHS under optimum conditions. The reagent is free of unconjugated biotin.
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
