Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-QYATQHGEYDTLNK, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001009931.1.
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name Hornerin (HRNR Antibody Abstract)
Background Synonyms: HRNR, hornerin, S100A16, S100a18, intermediate filament-associated protein
Gene ID 388697
NCBI Accession NP_001009931
Research Area Cytoskeleton
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50 kDa band in Human Skin lysates after 0.3 µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 282 kDa according to NP_001009931.1. The 50 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
