Description
Human interleukin-2 (IL2) is a secreted cytokine that is important for theproliferation of T and B lymphocytes. The receptor of this cytokine is aheterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is also shared byinterleukin-4 (IL4) and interleukin-7 (IL7). The expression of this gene in maturethymocytes is monoallelic, which represents an unusual regulatory mode forcontrolling the precise expression of a single gene. The targeted disruption of asimilar gene in mice leads to ulcerative colitis like disease, which suggests anessential role of this gene in the immune response to antigenic stimuli. IL2 hasbeen shown to have antitumor effects in some studies.

Application Notes
Recommended Dilution 1: 1000 - 1: 5 000 with standard ECL (WB), 1: 1000 - 1: 5 000 (ELISA). Additional Information: the IgY fraction is isolated by a two-step PEG precipitation procedure followed byammonium sulphate precipitation .
Buffer
Total IgY fraction at 9.2 mg/ml in 0.9% NaCl, 0.1% sodiumazide
Storage
store at 4°C, make aliquots to avoid working with a stock. Please, remember tospin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur fromliquid material adhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
