Description

Enterobacter cloacae is a gram negative, rod-shaped bacterium that hasperitrichous flagella. Enterobacter species, particularly Enterobacter cloacae, areimportant nosocomial pathogens responsible for a variety of infections, includingbacteremia, lower respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections,urinary tract infections, endocarditis, intra abdominal infections, septic arthritis,osteomyelitis, and ophthalmic infections.
