Additional Information

Alternative name CLOCK
Gene ID 12753
Immunogen Two peptides derived from mouse CLOCK, conjugated to albumin.
Cross-Reactivity Human
Format Serum
Description CLOCK, a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)/PAS protein, is an important factor in themolecular clock mechanism. Mutations in this protein lead to abnormal circadianbehavior and defective transcriptional activity. CLOCK has been shown to interactstrongly with other bHLH-PAS proteins such as MOP3, a BMAL1 isoform. Alternate Names: anti-KIAA0334 antibody.
Specificity This antibody is specific for mCLOCK. Species Reactivity: Peptide 1 shows significant homology to human and Gallus gallus. Peptide 2 shows82% homology to Gallus gallus.

Application Details

Application Notes Western blotting (suggested working dilution 1:1,000). Antisera was tested againstbacterially expressed fragment of CLOCK expressed in BL21 cells or the full lengthprotein expressed in an in vitro translation system (reticulocyte lysate). Also works for ChIP Assay (request specific protocol if needed).
Purification Serum
Storage Aliquot and store at -20C or -80C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Research Area Cardiovascular, Atherosclerosis, Transcription Factors, Metabolism
Restrictions For Research Use only
