Immunogen Human CITED 2 protein
Clone JA22
Isotype IgG1 kappa
Purification Ascites
Alternative Name CITED2
Background Cited 2 is a cAMP-responsive element-binding protein (CBP)/p300 interactingtranscriptional modulator and a proposed negative regulator for hypoxia-induciblefactor-1 alpha. Recruitment of CBP/p300 by HIF-1 is essential for the transcriptionalresponse to hypoxia. Alternate Names: anti-CITED2 antibody, anti-Cbp/p300-interacting transactivator antibody, anti-withGlu/Asp-rich carboxy-terminal domain antibody, anti-2 antibody, anti-HGNC:1987antibody, anti-MRG1 antibody, anti-P35SRJ antibody, anti-CITED 2 antibody.
Gene Symbol: CITED2
Gene ID 10370
UniProt Q99967
Research Area Cancer
Application Notes This CITED2 (JA22) antibody is useful in Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence and Western blot, where a band is seen at 29 kDa. Additional bands may be seen at 36 kDa representing p35srj, Use in Immunohistochemistry-paraffin reported in scientific literature (PMID: 19319572) the alternatively spliced version of CITED2, and at 70 kDa (unknown). Does not work well on mouse tissue.
Recommended dilutions: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence 1:100-1:500, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin, Western Blot 1:500
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Liquid
Preservative Sodium azide
Precaution of Use WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze-thaw cycles
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Aliquot and store at -20 °C or -80 °C.
